Novus Ventures was founded by Dan Tompkins in 1994 with the goal of forming a venture capital team whose collective talents and experience could help build great companies. After raising their second fund in 2000 and merging with Artemis Ventures in the summer of 2002, the Novus Ventures team comprises six seasoned investment professionals managing a total of $160 million.
From the outset, the approach has been two-fold: provide optimal funding for promising early-stage companies; and contribute Novus resources and participation to these ventures to help them grow and flourish in the dynamic, challenging high-tech business world.
After investing in a portfolio company, we are committed to a working process that melds our seasoned management expertise with the entrepreneurial vision and drive of our portfolio companies.
The approach has proved successful. Headquartered in Cupertino, California, Novus currently serves a roster of 24 active portfolio companies.
